Facebook Party Giveaway: Ruth Beechick Bundle
We were saddened to learn of Ruth Beechick's death in late 2013. Ruth was a lifelong teacher, both in the classroom and as a curriculum writer. She was a mentor to the late Debbie Strayer, author of our Trail Guide to Learning series. Ruth's teaching philosophies heavily influenced Debbie's and helped shape the Trail Guide to Learning series. Ruth will be greatly missed.
To honor Ruth and her contributions to homeschooling, we are giving away a copy of three of her books: The Three R's, You Can Teach Your Child Successfully, and Dr. Beechick's Homeschool Answer Book.
To enter, leave a comment telling us how Ruth's teaching philosophies have impacted your homeschool. Be sure to use the Rafflecopter widget below to let us know that you’ve commented.
Contest ends at 11:59 PM on Wednesday, February 5 and is open to U.S. residents only. Winners will be notified by February 7, 2014.

She reminds me that I can do this and to relax my children are learning even when I don’t realize it. Love her books
We have been using her methods in Sonlight’s Language Arts Programs and have been pleased with the results. For our 2014/2015 school year we will be using Trail Guide to Learning Paths of Exploration and are excited to be even more entrenched in Ruth Beechick’s teaching methods.
Her philosophies have affected me through Debbie Strayer. This is my first year of homeschooling and I heard Debbie speak at the Expo in Montgomery. I’m so glad that I heard her speak before I ever began homeschooling. Before her I was planning to choose a single box curriculum. After her I knew I wanted to do student-led learning without limits. Take my mind out of my public school box so-to-speak. I know that came from Ruth. A HUGE thank you to both ladies!!
I would love to read her books, but have not yet. I know of her, and am grateful for the huge impact that she made on homeschooling!
I’ve not read any of her books, but after getting a taste of the quotes tonight it is clear that I need to. Seems like she found the keys to gift of teaching your kids well. How I wish I was taught that way. I am happy though to be learning along with my own children and seeing the magic happen.
